Sign by My Record Locker

Effective November 15, 2026

The short version

  • We collect only what we need to send your documents, get them signed, and prove who signed.
  • We don't sell personal information. We don't show ads, track you around the web, or use what you upload to train AI.
  • Everyone who is part of a document can download the signed copy, which shows each signer's name, email and IP address.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at hello@myrecordlocker.com.

Who we are

Sign by My Record Locker ("Sign") is run by Kryptomneme LLC, a California company doing business as My Record Locker ("we", "us"). This policy covers sign.myrecordlocker.com. If you've been asked to sign a document, it was sent by someone else, the sender. We handle that document on the sender's behalf, and the sender decides what's in it and who receives it.

What we collect

If you're a sender

  • Your email address, and your name, organization and title if you add them.
  • Your documents, any templates you save, the signers you add, the fields you place and any contacts you save.
  • Your plan, how many envelopes you've used, and the gifts and referral credits you've sent or earned.
  • Billing details. Your payment processor handles your card, so we never see the full number.

If you're a signer

  • Your name and email address, and your organization and title if the sender added them.
  • What you enter: your typed signature, initials, name, date and any text fields.
  • Your consent to sign electronically, or your choice to sign on paper, decline or withdraw. We keep the exact wording you agreed to.
  • The time of each step, your IP address and your browser type. They prove that the signature is yours.

If you send feedback

  • Your email address, your message, your name if you give it, and the page you sent it from.

If Sign emails you

  • Your email address, when we emailed you, and whether the email came back or was marked as spam.
  • If an email to you came back or was marked as spam, we keep your address so Sign doesn't email it again. If you ask not to get gifts, we keep your address so you don't get more.

Codes, links and cookies. We use two cookies, and both only keep you signed in: sign_session for senders, which lasts up to 30 days, and sign_signer for signers, which lasts up to 2 hours. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • To run Sign: sign you in, store and show documents, email signers in order, and make the signed copy and let everyone on the document download it.
  • To prove what happened: the certificate page records who signed, when, and how their email was confirmed.
  • To bill you for your plan, and to keep track of envelopes, gifts and referral credits.
  • To keep Sign secure and stop misuse.
  • To reply when you write to us.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We email you only about your account, your documents, and gifts someone sends you. We don't send newsletters unless you ask for them.

Who sees it

  • The people on a document. Signers see the document and the fields already signed by those before them. When everyone has signed, every party can download the signed copy. Its certificate page shows each signer's name, email address, IP address and signing time, along with their organization and title if given.
  • The app that sent a document. Some documents are sent for a sender by another app. Sign tells that app when each person signs or declines, and when the document is finished or canceled. It doesn't send names, email addresses or anything people typed.
  • The companies that help us run Sign. We share with them only what each one needs:
CompanyWhat it doesWhat it sees
Google CloudHosts Sign, its database, and your documents and signed copiesEverything Sign stores
ResendSends Sign's emailsNames, email addresses and message text
StripeTakes paymentsBilling details

We'll update this list before any other company handles your information.

  • The law. We may share information if we're legally required to, or to protect someone's safety or our rights. When we're allowed to, we'll tell the person affected first.
  • A new owner. If Sign or Kryptomneme LLC is sold, merged or otherwise transferred, your information transfers with it, so your account and documents continue under this policy.

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Sign-in codes stop working after 10 minutes. Signing links stop working 5 days after they're sent, or one day later if the signer opens it on the last day. The sender can send a new link at any time.
  • Documents, signed copies and signing records are kept while the sender's account is open, so the proof is there when someone needs it.
  • When a sender closes their account, they have 30 days to change their mind. After that, we close the account and delete its drafts, templates and saved contacts. Documents that were sent for signature, and their signing records, are kept securely for six years so that everyone who signed can prove what they agreed to, and are then deleted. Backups are cleared within a further 30 days of each deletion.

Keeping it safe

Each signer has to confirm their email with a code before they can sign. Every page blocks other websites from showing it inside their own pages.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • show you the information we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • give you a copy you can take elsewhere.

Write to hello@myrecordlocker.com. We'll confirm the request comes from you, then reply within 30 days. Some laws, including California's, give you these rights formally. We won't treat you differently for using them.

If you signed someone else's document, the sender controls it. A signed document is often something both sides need to keep. Ask the sender first. If you write to us, we'll pass your request on and help.

Children

Sign is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete it.

Where your information is stored

In the United States. If you use Sign from another country, your information is moved to the U.S. and handled there under this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and email account holders about changes that matter.
